With this organizational effectiveness grant, UDB will develop and host a series of media and cultural sensitivity trainings to support journalists, environmental and conservation organizations, philanthropic institutions, and community organizations in deepening their understanding of and communications about Bears Ears National Monument, and narratives about COVID-19 and its impact on the Indigenous communities of the Four Corners/Bears Ears region. The Bears Ears is one of the Hewlett Foundations priority geographies. (Substrategy: Build the Conditions for Enduring Conservation)
