About the Grantee
1621 Executive Court, Sacramento, CA, 95864-2607, United States
Grants to this Grantee
for general support to provide negotiation and conflict resolution-related skills, training and mediation services to tribal councils, staff, and members
for assisting American Indian tribes to obtain contracts to protect and restore federal forests and public rangeland
for general support of the Environmental Development Services Program
IDRS is a national Indian-governed nonprofit organization. Its leadership is critical in ensuring that tribal leaders can advocate effectively for themselves for good environmental stewardship of their lands. The objectives of IDRS' proposed program are to increase sound forest management and restoration on 400 million acres of western public lands and to support the creation of tribal sustainable forest-based businesses. We are tying off this grant because this grant's goals no longer overlap with the Foundation's western strategy.
