Overview
The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition brings together public institutions and private sector organizations, including civil society, to promote accountable and responsive governance in Ghana through research, capacity building, and advocacy. This grant will enable the coalition to work closely with Ghana’s auditor general to enhance good public finance practices by tracking, reporting, and encouraging implementation of audit recommendations by local governments and other public institutions and promoting compliance with the requirements of the public officer asset declaration register. The coalition will also promote effective implementation of the provisions of Ghana’s National Anti-Corruption Action Plan, which was adopted in 2011 by the legislature. Through these two streams of work, the coalition seeks to enhance the integrity and public confidence in Ghana’s public finance management and reduce or eliminate public resource leakage. (Strategy: Transparency, Participation, and Accountability)
