For Support Of The Use Of Demographic Dividend Observatories To Influence Gender-responsive Policies

Overview
Through demand-driven research, Consortium Régional pour la Recherche en Economie Générationnelle (CREG) informs the development of economic and social policies that integrate women's empowerment and harness a demographic dividend in east and central African countries. Over the next few years, CREG will build on its proven track record to sensitize and train policymakers, sectorial ministries, parliamentarians, and civil society on gendered economic analysis and establish national Demographic Dividend observatories with a focus on Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, and Togo. This grant will enable CREG to deepen these focal areas and its cross-country collaboration. (Strategy: International Women's Economic Empowerment)

This grant will support the Consortium Régional pour la Recherche en Economie Générationnelle (CREG) to conduct demand-driven research and training that informs the development of economic and social policies that integrate women’s empowerment and harness a demographic dividend in East and Central African countries. CREG has a proven track record of engaging economic decision makers through training on demographic economics, the development and use of National Transfer Accounts methodology and profiles, conducting cross-country comparative analysis of the Demographic Dividend Monitoring Index, and establishing national Demographic Dividend observatories as recommended by the African Union.
