Overview
This grant will support the Consortium Régional pour la Recherche en Economie Générationnelle (CREG) to conduct demand-driven research and training that informs the development of economic and social policies that integrate women’s empowerment and harness a demographic dividend in East and Central African countries. CREG has a proven track record of engaging economic decision makers through training on demographic economics, the development and use of National Transfer Accounts methodology and profiles, conducting cross-country comparative analysis of the Demographic Dividend Monitoring Index, and establishing national Demographic Dividend observatories as recommended by the African Union.
