Overview
This renewal grant would support the Colorado Environmental Coalition’s efforts to protect the state’s roadless areas and wild rivers and constrain the expansion of fossil-energy development on sensitive public lands. The Coalition is seeking to protect 225,000 roadless acres and forty miles of wild rivers, prevent the commercial leasing of oil shale land, and ensure that oil and gas development in Colorado does not impact roadless land or sensitive habitat. The Coalition would also build support among ranchers, hunters, and anglers.
