The Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative is a professional network of senior budget officials that promotes efficient and effective management of public finances in Africa. Through commissioned research, in-country case studies, peer-learning, and peer-exchange opportunities, the Initiative helps ensure that public financial management systems are accountable and contribute toward more effective service delivery, sustainable economic growth, and development. At an international level, the Initiative also plays a unique role in consolidating and representing African positions on behalf of its members to ensure that African perspectives are reflected in global norms and standard-setting processes.

The Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI) is a professional network of senior budget officials that aims to promote efficient and effective management of public finances in Africa. A grant to the CABRI secretariat would support the network’s programs, including research and case studies of public financial management reform processes, sector-specific dialogues that engage government counterparts from education and health ministries to promote greater value for money in sector expenditures, the creation of a budget resources center, plus advisory services and peer-to-peer exchanges to reinforce reform efforts across Africa. At an international level, CABRI also plays a unique role in consolidating and representing African positions on behalf of its members to ensure that African perspectives are reflected in global norms and standard-setting processes.
