for scaling climate communications by developing a Climate News Engine
Climate Central is an independent organization of leading scientists and journalists researching and reporting the facts about our changing climate and its impact on the public. Climate Central surveys and conducts scientific research on climate change and informs the public of key findings. Its Climate News Engine will create timely, highly localized scientific information, based on monitoring daily weather and other data streams, and quickly deliver that content in the form of clear, compelling visuals and language to journalists, meteorologists, and news and weathercasters nationally. The content will be highly shareable on digital and social mediums in order to engage and inform large local audiences.
