Grants to this Grantee
for the Realtime Fingerprints program
This grant supports Climate Central’s work to advance critical new climate communication tools that offer science-based connections between weather and climate, and facilitate their widespread use in the media and beyond. The Realtime Fingerprints program will enable powerful, localized, and timely communication about climate impacts, helping more Americans — with a wide range of beliefs and from communities across the country — viscerally understand the threats that climate change poses to them and their communities, and the need for both adaptation and mitigation. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
for general operating support
Climate Central is an independent organization of leading scientists, journalists, and technologists researching and reporting the facts about our changing climate and its impact on the public. The organization surveys and conducts scientific research on climate change and informs the public of key findings. The organization makes accurate and effective climate communication as widely and readily available as the most routine elements of the news seeking to generate responses to climate change that are proportional to its threat. (Substrategy: U.S. National Policy)
