Overview
This request is to help fund the 2012 Celebration of Teaching & Learning and its offshoot, the International Summit on the Teaching Profession, and to include a strand on deeper learning. Hewlett Foundation funding will support WNET to develop two featured speaker sessions at the Celebration: • The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and the "PISA for Schools" initiative; and • International models of deeper learning and how the teachers within the United States could incorporate those techniques. A closing paper detailing the Summit activities will be published and widely disseminated.
