White Ribbon Alliance is a global alliance of civil society organizations and activists working together to improve policies, programs, and the resources that are available for reproductive, maternal, and newborn health and rights. Its global secretariat in Washington, D.C., connects the organization with social movements and supports capacity building of member national alliances, which are independently governed and led. This grant will support the White Ribbon Alliance and members in Kenya and Uganda to educate communities, create citizen oversight mechanisms, and conduct advocacy campaigns to ensure that universal health coverage and other government health policies for vulnerable people are implemented well.
