The mission of the West Contra Costa Unified School District is to provide the highest quality education so all students can make positive life choices, strengthen their community, and successfully participate in a diverse global society. This grant will help the district create a performance assessment system and research agenda for its schools, as well as provide technical assistance for budget and board development. The district believes that these efforts will help all students achieve at high levels of proficiency and mitigate the effects of institutionalized racism.
