The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) based in Accra, Ghana, builds the capacity of and facilitates peer learning of civil society organizations across both Francophone and Anglophone West Africa. WACSI also advocates for government policies and donor practices that enable the growth of a robust civil society in the region. WACSI is led and staffed by Africans who have deep knowledge, experience, and networks across the civil society landscape in West Africa.. (Strategy: Inclusive Governance)

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a nongovernmental organization based in Accra, Ghana, that strengthens the capacity of civil society organizations across 17 countries in West Africa through training, peer learning, and knowledge sharing. Through this grant, WACSI will support peer learning and collaboration among civil society organizations operating in French- and English-speaking countries across West Africa that are adopting innovative approaches to active citizen engagement and social accountability.
