Overview
Wallowa Resources’ mission is to empower rural communities to create strong economies and healthy landscapes through land stewardship, education, and job creation. The Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition finds and promotes solutions through collaborative, place-based work that recognizes the inextricable link between the long-term health of the land and the well-being of rural communities. This grant supports the coalition’s work to summarize the science of prescribed fire as a tool to reduce fire risk and restore ecosystems, and identify policy options to increase use of prescribed fire on national forests.
