Overview
University of Zurich carries out scientific research and teaching in the public interest. This grant will support a program designed to decrease the barriers African students face when applying for graduate programs. The long-term aim is to increase African representation in global knowledge production and policymaking in the long run. During the grant period, the team will scale its mentorship program, professionalize teaching and communication materials, negotiate application fee waivers for candidates, and establish quarterly exchanges with other organizations working toward the same goals.
