Overview
Cal Performances is the largest performing arts presenter on the West Coast, producing and presenting performances and programs that explore the intersection of education and the performing arts. Its annual season of 100 performances of world music and dance, theater, opera, jazz, and classical music, in the 2,000-seat Zellerbach Hall on the UC Berkeley campus, reaches 130,000 people. Cal Performances’ education and community outreach programs focus on building artistic literacy. Access to its programs is increased through partnerships with the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, as well as its management of the Greek Theatre in Berkeley.
