Overview
This grant supports On Think Tanks (OTT), a global initiative that studies and supports both think tanks in developing countries and their funders. During this grant period, OTT will strengthen the governance, management, and funding of the initiative by establishing an advisory board, improving the quality and uptake of services it offers to the think tank community, generating new research and commentary on issues of importance to global think tanks, and expanding its capacity development interventions. Through this work, OTT aims to help think tank staff and leaders better run and strengthen their organizations. It also seeks to help funders better support think tanks, and foster a new generation of think tank leaders and funders.

This grant to the Universidad del Pacifico in Peru is for support to On Think Tanks (OTT), a global initiative that studies and supports both think tanks in developing countries and their funders. This grant will help OTT improve the quality and reach of the information it offers, by helping transform the existing blog into a web portal and improving the regional balance of its coverage. This grant will allow OTT to more deeply address issues of particular relevance to developing country think tanks, such as governance, funding, and staffing, drawing on input from around the developing world. OTT will also develop initiatives that raise the profile of developing country think tanks and foster collaboration among them.
