Overview
The Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA) is an association of East African researchers who advance impact evaluations designed to inform policy decisions. The network is housed at the United States International University-Africa. NIERA aims to conduct impact evaluations and systematic reviews designed to inform policy issues, conduct policy outreach, and works to build impact evaluation capacity through a mentorship program and through introducing new courses in African universities. This grant supports NIERA's Demand Driven Research Initiative. NIERA will conduct two flagship impact evaluations designed to inform specific policy decisions. NIERA will also work to build awareness of and interest in low-cost, decision-focused approaches to impact evaluation, and its own track record and funding base as a research institution.
