Overview
Energy efficiency is the first and most affordable option for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, both in the United States and around the world. But there is a shortage of professional and technical expertise in developing and implementing efficiency programs, both within energy utilities as well as state and local governments. The purpose of this grant, to the University of California's Energy Efficiency Center, is to support the endowment of the "Arthur H. Rosenfeld Chair in Energy Efficiency". By building the capacity of this Center, it will also help build the next generation of energy efficiency professionals and advocates.
