Overview
Transparencia Mexicana intends to continue promoting policies and actions to reduce government corruption and improve Mexico’s public administration accountability standards by rigorously monitoring government procurement and service delivery practices. This grant would allow TM to produce its highly respected National Survey on Corruption and Good Governance. The survey is widely used by academics, think tanks, accountability advocates, policymakers at all levels, and the media.

Transparencia Mexicana (TM), the Mexican chapter of Transparency International, is focused on promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in the provision of public services in Mexico. Among its core activities, TM monitors national and subnational government practices on service delivery and procurement. This grant will allow the organization to continue producing its highly respected National Survey on Corruption and Good Governance. TM will also incorporate social participation in efforts to improve public services; broaden institutional partnerships with civil society actors to address the challenges of a national government procurement system; and develop a new line of work to analyze links and relationships between governments and private service providers.

This grant will allow the organization to continue producing its National Index on Corruption and Good Governance, incorporating disaggregated data at the local level for the first time.

This grant will support Transparencia Mexicana to launch an Anti-Corruption Data Hub to coordinate and monitor the proliferation of data release and monitoring initiatives at the federal and subnational level.
