Overview
With a mission of making education freely available to all, the Saylor Foundation is joining other members of the open education community to encourage the adoption of openly licensed textbooks. Funding will contribute to Saylor's Open Textbook Challenge, launched in September 2011, which offers textbook authors a $20,000 license fee to anyone who licenses an accepted text under a Creative Commons CC BY 3.0 attribution license.
