The Learning Accelerator

The Learning Accelerator is a national nonprofit that works across the education ecosystem to help accelerate learning about and the scaling of innovative educational practices. This supplement will support ongoing examination of the current state of OER practice in deeper learning settings. This research will enable the organization to develop a synthesis of current opportunities and challenges; case studies of strategies already in place; and guidance for educators, resource creators, and funders.

The Learning Accelerator will undertake a six-month project to delve deeply into the current state of OER practice in deeper learning settings. This research will enable the organization to develop a synthesis of current opportunities and challenges, case studies of strategies already in place, and guidance for educators, resource creators, and funders.

The Learning Accelerator is a nonprofit that accelerates the implementation of high-quality blended learning in U.S. school districts by supporting the effective use of technology in education. The group would facilitate the K-12 OER Collaborative, a group of states working to commission high-quality, comprehensive, openly licensed course materials for grades K-12 in math and English Language Arts aligned to the Common Core State Standards. This work helps provide a high-quality OER supply to educators and exemplars of excellent instructional materials, consistent with our "smart demand" strategy.
