Overview
The Knights of Indulgence Theatre (The Imaginists Theatre Collective) (Santa Rosa, CA) – GOS; $30,000/3; 8% of organizational budget
The Imaginists Theatre Collective (ITC) creates original theatre experiences for and with a growing audience comprised of a population diverse in background, ethnicity, age and socio-economic status. For the past eight years, three in a storefront performance space in downtown Santa Rosa, ITC has produced nine productions per year, reaching 3,000 audience members through site-specific, community-based, bilingual, youth, classic and original works that consistently push at the limits and possibilities of theatre, including the annual free bicycle touring show El Arte es Medicina/ Art is Medicine. Hewlett support will enable ITC to focus its efforts in three distinct areas: human resources (paying staff and artists, training artists), financial stability (board, staff and organizational development), and visibility (expanding the audience base).
