for strategic planning to implement open educational resources and practices in HBCUs
Led by Tennessee State University, the goal of the HBCU Affordable Learning Solutions program is to institutionalize the adoption and effective use of free and open educational resources and services on the campuses of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). This grant will support HBCUs in collaborative strategic planning and research to inform implementation of Affordable Learning Solutions programs at their institutions. The project will also expand the development and publication of culturally contextualized OER through efforts by HBCU faculty and in partnership with the MIT OpenCourseWare community. Capturing the processes and outcomes of these redesigned courses with storytelling and e-portfolios will help scale the dissemination of exemplary open educational practices.
