Overview
Teaching Lab’s mission is to shift the paradigm of teacher professional learning for educational equity. The group’s values center on a commitment to anti-racism and the pursuit of racial equity in education. With this grant, Teaching Lab will integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into their K-12 English language arts, mathematics, and state-level programs to support effective implementation of OER. Teaching Lab will pilot new professional learning services and tools and conduct user-centered research to study the impact of these programmatic shifts on teacher practice and student learning. Teaching Lab is dedicated to advancing educational equity through high-quality teacher professional learning. This grant will support Teaching Lab in developing open-source resources, as well as professional learning, to improve writing instruction.
