Overview
This grant will continue to provide support for a Climate Advisor position for Colorado Governor Bill Ritter. This person will help further the governor's climate agenda promoting clean, low carbon energy policies. Specifically, the Advisory will lead the Colorado Climate Action Plan Advisory Council as well as provide communication between the Governor's Climate Team and a wide variety of Colorado stakeholders, including environmental groups, businesses, and academics, agricultural and ranching communities. Finally, this person will seek out public appearance and speaking opportunities for the Governor to remain a regional and national leader on clean energy and low carbon policies. (Renewal, $50,000/1; 50% of project budget)
