Overview
In an annual series reaching 35,000 audience members, Stanford Lively Arts presents approximately thirty performances of music, theater, dance, spoken word, and multimedia events to the university and local community, with a focus on diverse, innovative, and adventurous programs. In addition to commissioning pieces from leading artists, the Stanford Lively Arts program offers more than 100 free education and outreach programs at venues such as the Community School of Music and Arts (a Hewlett Foundation grantee). Renewed support would fund program development as the organization makes the transition to its new home and state-of-the-art performance space in the Bing Concert Hall on the Stanford campus in spring 2013.
