For The INFONET Program

Overview
Social Development Network (SODNET) (Nairobi, Kenya) – Project, New, $150,000 over 1 year, 45.3% of project budget For refining the Infonet strategic plan and supporting citizen monitoring and feedback tools in Kenya. The Infonet program uses technology to strengthen citizens’ ability to enforce accountability and amplify demands for better service delivery. A planning grant would support implementation of the ongoing Infonet activities while also funding a strategic planning and organizational stocktaking process. Key activities will include seeking external expertise to help Infonet articulate its theory of change, while also expanding Infonet’s very popular Budget Tracking tool and launching a similar online tool to facilitate citizen feedback on service delivery. Infonet is emerging as a critical member in the expanding network of non-governmental organizations advancing greater transparency and accountability in Kenya.
