Overview
Emergency funding has been awarded to Shirkat Gah - Women's Resource Centre in Pakistan to provide humanitarian relief to the community focusing on pregnant women and their families that have survived the severe recent flooding. Shirkat Gah will distribute basic items such as food, water and non-food items such as hygiene kits, clothes and shoes. Shirkat Gah is working with multilateral and nongovernmental organizations to organize health camps with a special focus on the needs of pregnant women and lactating mothers. Shirkat Gah is targeting more than 5,000 vulnerable families in Pakistan (7-8 people per family) in areas in which the organization works.
