San Francisco Opera Association

San Francisco Opera Association develops, produces, and premieres major works of opera, and provides arts education to young people in schools throughout the Bay Area. Each year, San Francisco Opera Association presents a nine-production season for 250,000 audience members. The organization also offers family-friendly programs, training and performance opportunities for emerging opera artists, and in-school education programs for more than 23,000 Bay Area public school students each year. This grant to San Francisco Opera Association aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Continuity and Engagement strategy through the Traditional Works component.
