Overview
Sacramento Area Congregations Together (ACT) is a multiracial, multifaith organization advocating for the transformation of community rooted in shared faith values. Sacramento ACT equips ordinary people to effectively identify and change conditions to create justice and equity. The group organizes to create a more just and fair community for everyone in the Sacramento region, with a particular focus on communities of color that have experienced historical discrimination and disinvestment. Sacramento ACT’s model of congregation-based community organizing is centered on a belief in the potential for the transformation of people, institutions, and culture. This grant will support the group’s partnership with the California Partnership for the Future of Learning. (Substrategy: Student and Community Voice)
