Overview
The mission of the Center for Youth and Community Leadership in Education at Roger Williams University is to partner with communities and schools to build organizational capacity, alliances, and collective power through learning, relationships, and organizing. The center believes that high-quality public schools and equitable educational systems are the cornerstone of democracy and that prioritizing the experiences of those most negatively impacted in school systems will result in an educationally just and equitable system that serves all students and families. This grant will support an alliance of youth-led organizations and educators to ensure youth, community, and educator voices are included and used in district reform efforts.
