Project on Organizing, Development, Education, and Research

For General Operating Support

Overview
The Project on Organizing, Development, Education and Research (PODER) is an organization that seeks to increase corporate accountability in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Transparency in the extractives sector is a primary focus. This grant would bolster PODER’s work to increase public awareness of government concessions for mining and renewable resource initiatives, improve the evidence about the public revenue generated or lost in extractive industry contracts, and increase the capacity of citizens and community organizations to use publicly available information to advocate for more transparent government processes to authorize mining concessions.
