Project on Organizing, Development, Education, and Research

For A Project On Increasing Extractive Industry Transparency In Mexico

Overview
This grant would enable the Project on Organizing, Development, Education, and Research (PODER) to use public information to document the extent to which tax revenue is lost in Mexico due to poorly managed mining contracts. In addition, the project will work to identify the real ownership of the largest private companies working with natural resources in Mexico. This data will then be collated and curated by PODER and an external editorial committee of experts and presented in a public website.
