Grants to this Grantee
for climate finance research and analysis
Project Drawdown conducts an ongoing review and analysis of climate solutions — the practices and technologies that can stem and begin to reduce the excess of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. Project Drawdown partners with cities, universities, businesses, communities, investors, philanthropies, and others around the world to support the scaling of climate solutions. Project Drawdown proposes to identify and advance the most effective financial mechanisms to scale global climate solutions and expand the global reach of their climate solutions, with a particular focus on China. (Substrategy: Climate Finance)
for support of the WiserGiving project
WiserGiving is a new online platform for individual donors that aims to move them from casual givers to proactive, smart givers and ultimately increase the "lifetime impact" of their giving. WiserGiving is unique in the donor education sector in that it first engages donors by helping them understand their own motivations for giving, what kind of giver they are, via substantive but easy-to-digest wizards (like quizzes) and then connects them to resources based on their interests and passions. Unlike many platforms focused on individual donors, WiserGiving does not assume that donors are interested in nonprofit performance nor does it recommend specific nonprofits to donors.
