Overview
The world needs to achieve vast reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions in the coming decades to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change. For deep decarbonization, it is critical that solutions, including carbon dioxide removal interventions, be developed and deployed in parallel to advances in global, national, and local policies. This work will support climate startup companies with a viable commercial pathway to gigaton-scale emissions reduction (CO2 equivalent) by 2050.

Grants to this Grantee
for diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies
Prime Coalition recognizes that integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into the DNA of their organization, team and activities is core to the mission of climate change mitigation. Prime Coalition will embark on a process to better embed DEI into internal and external work, including implementing recruitment and appointment processes at the board level with the goal of increasing diversity among board members, increasing pipeline partners that specialize in women- or minority-led companies, and adding DEI metrics to the process of selecting companies presented to the Investment Advisory Committee.
for the Aligned Intermediary's exploration period
PRIME coalition is dedicated to increasing investment in clean technology to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This grant will fund a research project focused on the options for the creation of a new organization, an Aligned Intermediary, an entity that will help early stage resource innovation technologies find funding by pairing them with long term investors such as family offices, pension funds, and endowments. The Aligned Intermediary will create a new investment toolkit to bridge the "valleys of death" faced by innovative technologies that will be part of a carbon free economy.
for investment readiness in carbon dioxide removal
The world needs to achieve vast reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions in the coming decades to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change. For deep decarbonization, it is critical that solutions, including carbon dioxide removal (CDR) interventions, be developed and deployed in parallel with advances in global, national, and local policies. This work will perform intentional, comprehensive, and rigorous evaluation of CDR solutions for potential investment and share the results with the investment community.
