Planned Parenthood Northern California

This grant would provide general operating support to Planned Parenthood Shasta Diablo (PPSD), the largest provider of reproductive health services to low-income and uninsured people in the San Francisco Bay Area counties of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Contra Costa, Solano, and Napa.

This grant would provide continuing general operating support to Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal, previously Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific), which provides reproductive health services to low-income and underserved individuals living in six San Francisco Bay Area counties, including San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Contra Costa, Solano, and Napa. With these unrestricted funds, PPNorCal plans to continue operating 16 health care centers strategically located in these communities to be accessible to low-income individuals. In 2014, more than 92% of the clients served by PPNorCal in the target counties had incomes at or below 200% of poverty, and many had limited English proficiency.

This grant will provide support to Planned Parenthood Northern California, which provides reproductive health services to low-income and underserved individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Northern California counties of Humboldt, Trinity, and Del Norte. These funds will help Planned Parenthood continue providing accessible, affordable quality health care through 17 centers serving 20 Northern California counties, as well as sexual health education to thousands of teens.
