Overview
This grant will support the efforts of Planned Parenthood of Shasta-Diablo (PPSD) to rapidly expand its service area to include San Francisco and Marin, following the loss of accreditation of Planned Parenthood of Golden Gate (PPGG), which previously provided family planning and reproductive health services to these communities. PPSD currently serves neighboring counties of Contra Costa, Napa and Solano (as well as other Northern California counties) and plans to open two new health centers by November 2010 in Marin and San Francisco through this expansion in an effort to ensure continuity of service delivery to low-income families in these communities.
