Grants to this Grantee
for civic engagement through 21st-century skills
This national organization advocates college and career readiness for every student, including deeper learning skills. With this funding, it would begin to examine the civic capacity and engagement outcomes associated with deeper learning and to encourage civic organizations to help frame and drive a skills reform agenda in the United States.
for a comprehensive study of 21st-century learning-oriented reform initiatives
P21 is a voluntary, national, independent partnership among education, business, community, and government leaders to advance the new knowledge and skills learners need to meet the challenges of modern work, life, and citizenship. As a part of its ongoing work, P21 will map the locales and composition of aligned reform movements in the United States that are working to advance student skills under a variety of monikers, ranging from "deeper learning" to "student-centered learning" to "21st-century skills" and more. Mapping the landscape of policymakers, practitioners, and researchers will help to identify and connect those working explicitly to help the education system produce graduates able to support ongoing innovation in the economy and the health of democracy in the United States.
