Outward Bound

Outward Bound works to build individual character through group challenges outdoors. Outward Bound Bay Area teams up with local schools to deliver transformational recreational and educational experiences, helping under-resourced schools and their students build stronger communities. As young people gain self-esteem, learn leadership skills, and deepen their knowledge of the natural world, their lives are enriched, with many becoming committed advocates for the environment. This grant would expand courses and allow more schools to participate while continuing to serve those who advance through multi-tiered trainings.
