OTT Consulting works with think tanks, foundations, governments, and other civil society organizations to promote better informed policies in countries around the world. OTT Consulting manages the On Think Tanks Initiative to support the knowledge, competencies, and networks that think tanks need to play a key role in delivering better informed policy debates and policymaking. The goals of the On Think Tanks Initiative are that think tanks, their funders, and other policy entrepreneurs use sound evidence that enables them to make better strategic operational decisions to effectively deliver their missions. OTT believes that communities of think tanks and, more broadly, institutions dedicated to evidence-informed policy, are stronger and more dynamic, sustainable, and influential in helping shape national and international policy processes – in addition to the fact that the global evidence-informed policymaking field is diverse and inclusive and reflects local contexts. The On Think Tanks initiative contributes to the field-building goals of the Evidence-Informed Policymaking strategy.
