Overview
NYC Outward Bound Schools works with networks of New York City public schools to engage students in equitable, immersive, and joyful deeper learning that prepares them to thrive in community, college, and careers. Driven by a new strategic plan, NYC Outward Bound Schools is working over the next two years to develop, pilot, and codify an impactful approach to social, emotional, and academic development that is liberatory and student-centered. This work will support the development of new exemplars in teacher practice, as well as generate new knowledge about transforming education systems by centering student voice and agency in the teaching and learning dynamics inside of public schools.
