Overview
The New Venture Fund’s SalmonState project seeks to protect the most important salmon-spawning watersheds in Alaska. The project aims to support the economic, recreational, and subsistence needs of Alaskans by educating and engaging commercial and sport fishermen, Alaska Natives, and the public about the importance of conserving its irreplaceable landscapes, including Bristol Bay and the Taku, Stikine, and Unuk watersheds, which are part of the greater Southeast Alaska transboundary eco-region.
