Overview
The New Venture Fund would use this grant to create a new West-wide communications program that would build strong relationships with reporters, draw from the best polling to craft persuasive messages, rapidly respond to attacks on public land protections, generate news on a steady basis and enlist a broad array of Westerners as spokespeople. This new project would fill a gap in the capacities of existing environmental NGOs focused on western conservation.

Grants to this Grantee
for support of The League
This grant will support The League, which uses narrative and culture change campaigns to create a cultural environment supportive of reproductive rights and justice. Using audience segmentation and other research, they identify “persuadable” groups with targeted campaigns designed to shift perspectives and support of issues related to gender justice, including reproductive rights. (Strategy: U.S. Reproductive Equity)
for the Bristol Bay Defense Fund
New Venture Fund’s Bristol Bay Defense Fund works with Alaska Native communities, fishermen and women, sportsmen and sportswomen, and others to protect Bristol Bay, Alaska, the world’s largest salmon fishery. (Substrategy: Defend Conservation Protections)
