The New Hampshire Learning Initiative is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting innovative assessment practices in the state. The initiative will work with school districts to promote the use of performance assessments as a central component of a comprehensive assessment system that is multifaceted and layered. These assessments will provide more accurate views of student knowledge and progress as well as their disposition toward college, career, and civic readiness, at the same time giving teachers valuable information about how to modify and adapt instruction.

Participating districts will receive assistance with communications about performance assessment quality, and a new technology platform will be created to support task development and facilitate secure information and data sharing.
