Overview
The National Center for Teacher Residencies works to advance a network of high-performing teacher residency programs dedicated to preparing highly effective teachers who will transform educational practices across the country. The center was launched to codify the teacher residency model, inform public policy, and develop standards of practice for such programs. This grant will support its efforts to provide network partners with professional learning opportunities on high-quality instructional materials and infuse high-quality instructional materials throughout its residency design academy. The National Center for Teacher Residencies (NCTR) works to advance a network of high-performing teacher residency programs dedicated to preparing highly effective teachers who will transform educational practices across the country. NCTR was launched to codify the teacher residency model, inform public policy, and develop standards of practice for such programs. This project will launch a research and evaluation study that will provide information about the effectiveness of NCTR’s teacher residencies programs and how to improve them.
