for advancing access to deeper learning as a component of equitable educational opportunity
The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) uses litigation, advocacy, and public education to work for criminal justice reform, voting rights, civic engagement, economic fairness, equal pay, and educational equity. In order to explore the implications of deeper learning outcomes for defining a system of equity and excellence in education, LDF will convene researchers, advocates and civil rights organizations. Engagement of the civil rights community is essential to ensuring fair access to deeper learning for all students as well as equitable design and implementation of related policy and practice reforms.
