Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
Since it began in 2001, the Mural Music and Arts Project has helped more than 2,000 youth in East Palo Alto and San Francisco’s Potrero Hill to recognize and achieve their artistic, intellectual, and leadership potential. This youth development organization, better known as MMAP, serves youth with a suite of programs that integrate dance, hip-hop, and visual arts with academic success, career awareness and preparation, civic engagement, and personal wellness. With this grant, MMAP would continue to strengthen its infrastructure by expanding its board of directors and advisory board; implementing its marketing and communications plan; deepening its youth work by developing a second East Palo Alto space, and launching an alumni program.
