Overview
Mpuntusem Foundation is a communications nongovernmental organization based in Ghana. It works with multimedia documentation, research, and advocacy on national and continental development issues. With this grant, Mpuntusem will work with the Ghana Statistical Service to use storytelling approaches to capture Ghana’s experiences using data for achieving and monitoring progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as efforts to strengthen the national data ecosystem. The goal of this work is to share learning from Ghana’s extensive data ecosystem work between 2015 and 2022 to incentivize and energize young statisticians, foster continued attention to data issues among Government of Ghana agencies, help strengthen national statistical offices in the Global South, and provide practical lessons for the evidence-informed policymaking community.
