Overview
Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy’s RePower Los Angeles project has built a coalition of sixty environmental groups, unions, low-income community groups, businesses, and others to advocate for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to adopt and implement an ambitious energy efficiency program. The coalition played a key role in the utility’s 2012 decision to triple its energy efficiency budget. With continued support, the Alliance will push the utility to adopt an even more aggressive energy efficiency goal of cutting demand by 15 percent and adopting financing mechanism to help achieve the goal.
